The Beautiful City : VARANASI !!!!!

Varanasi city is amazing in itself. It is full of surprises at every corner. Narrow streets is the speciality of Varanasi. Its full of people and life and cows.

Its an amazing experience to just walk through the streets and see what is happening around. I started walking at 9 in the morning and was walking till noon when the sun rays forced me to go back to the hotel and indulge myself into playing pool and chilling out.

The Pooja ..Manikanika Ghat !!!!!

Shanti Guest house was something to find and we enjoyed our stay there like anything. The serene environment and friendly people was something I was not expecting. And then I attended something after which I got lost into the beauty and culture of Varanasi.
The most famous and a must see in Varanasi is the evening Pooja at the Ghat. Storm of people flow in to attend the Pooja everyday. People start coming in at around 6 PM and the Pooja starts generally at sunset and goes on till 45 minutes to an hour.There are two ways to see the Pooja :
1) From the Ghat
2) Take a boat ride into the river and see from there
I prefer sitting on the Ghat and watching it because negotiating with the boat drivers can be tiring at the peak hours of Pooja. The view is breathtaking , of the candles and lamps. The size of the lamps is varied and the enchantments loud enough without speakers. With my eyes closed I got lost into the environment and slowly and slowly was drifting towards calmness and peace.
